Denver PCC

The PCC met on September 19th and approved several initiatives across our mission and ministry. The main details are as follows:

• We have appointed a new Architect who will work with us and some of our other churches. This is very good news as we will be able to progress with plans for our Kitchen reconfiguration area and updating our heating system.

• A permanent faculty has been confirmed by the Diocese of Ely for the removal of the front pews that were removed under the temporay faculty. The final stage requires approval from the Chancellor of the Diocese. 

• We are awaiting for a temporary faculty to be approved by the Archdeacon for the removal of the back pews. This will give us far more flexibility in how we use the space in our Church.

• We have long discussed the music within Church. The PCC agreed based on the recommendation from a sub group that we move to using ‘Anglican Hymns Old and New’. This mirrors the rest of the benefice (albeit a new version) whilst allowing us to maintain the traditional older hymns, but at the same time allowing us to introduce more modern hymns and worship songs as well - but all in one book. We are currently exploring how our old hymn books can be repurposed. We will be inviting you to either purchase your own copies that you can take home with you, or sponsor a copy in the church - more details about that in due course.
