Exploring Authorised Lay Ministry

Authorised Lay Ministers (ALMs) are trained lay people, active in church life, who have a particular vocation, special interest, or skill, that can be an integral part of their church’s ministry.

If you feel that God is drawing you into lay ministry, why not come along to one of the online Explorers evenings and find out more about the range of lay ministry roles available across the diocese. Introduction to Theology Course

The Introduction to Theology course offers a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Bible, church history, doctrine, and the shape and task of Christian living today. Designed for anyone interested in exploring faith and discipleship, this 15-week course is structured into three modules: Faith, Hope and Love and the Witness of the Scriptures; The Nicene Creed and the Lord’s Prayer; and The Call and Cost of Discipleship.
